Ed Harris joins cast of 'Big Red'
Actor Ed Harris has joined the cast of the World Wrestling Entertainment film "Big Red," a coming-of-age story that began production in New Orleans this month.
Harris, whose previous works include "Pollock," "Apollo 13" and "The Truman Show," joins a cast that includes Chase Ellison ("Tooth Fairy"), Molly Parker ("Deadwood"), Daniel Roebuck ("Final Destination") and WWE superstar Randy Orton.
"Big Red" will be set against the backdrop of the mid-1960s.
The plot follows 12-year-old Andy Nichol (played by Ellison), a bright student whose English teacher (played by Harris) pairs him on a project with the school's biggest outcast, Stanley, who is
also known as "Big Red."
Mia Rose Frampton ("Make It or Break It") and Amy Madigan ("Carnivale") are also featured in this family-friendly movie, which began principal photography in the New Orleans area on Feb.
