EBRSO: Wigged man tried to rob pharmacy
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies said they've looking for a man in a red wig who tried to rob a pharmacy in East Baton Rouge Thursday morning.
Witnesses told deputies that the wig-wearing man went into the CVS on George O'Neil Road around 9 a.m. and gave a note to an employee. The note claimed he had weapon, and that he wanted narcotics from the pharmacy.
Investigators said nobody ever saw a weapon on the man, and he soon left without getting anything.
Deputies described the man as a black male with a slim build, standing approximately 5'9" to 5'10" and wearing a black jacket and pants, as well as an orange and red wig. Witnesses said he also had a gauze bandage on the right side of his face.
Deputies said the man fled from the store in a silver mid-sized vehicle without a license plate. They said the car was parked on Autumnwood, and took off on Jones Creek toward South Harrell's Ferry.
Deputies said they searched the area, and their investigation is still ongoing.
