EBRSO: Victim recorded man raping her
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies arrested an East Baton Rouge man after they said he raped a woman, and the victim recorded the incident on her cell phone.
Deputies accused Joshua Paul Thompson, 31, of rape and false imprisonment Sunday.
Investigators said Thompson threatened the victim with death if she didn't have sex with him. The victim told deputies Thompson had made similar threats before, and she had set her cell phone to record audio before he threatened her and raped her. Deputies said Thompson was clearly heard on the recordings threatening to kill the victim if she didn't have sex with him.
Sheriff's deputies contacted Thompson after talking to the victim, and said he refused to speak to investigators without his attorney present.
Deputies arrested Thompson and booked him into the parish prison.
