EBRSO: Two arrested after breaking into house
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies arrested two men today they said were cornered inside an East Baton Rouge home they'd broken into.
EBRSO Spokesperson Casey Rayborn Hicks said deputies arrested Tevin Michael Gooden, 20, and Treyon Pugh, 19, after a negotiator convinced them to surrender.
Deputies responded to reports of burglars at a home on Fernbrooke Avenue, and said the pair refused to leave the home when they arrived.
Hicks said SWAT members were called in while a negotiator resolved the standoff, and the pair later surrendered without incident.
She said both face charges for burglary, property damage, and resisting arrest.
