BATON ROUGE - Authorities said a group of students were threatened by someone with a gun behind McKinley High School this afternoon.
Casey Hicks with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said deputies were told by students that a man pointed a gun at them and then fled.
Hicks said the person was known to the students, and may have been a former student himself.
A spokesperson with the school system earlier reported that shots had been fired, but Hicks said deputies determined no shots were actually fired.
Deputies are in the area investigating. If you have any information about this incident, contact EBRSO at (225) 389-5000.
