EBRSO seeking 2 men behind hotel armed robbery
BATON ROUGE - Detectives in East Baton Rouge Parish are looking for two men wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Reiger Road hotel room last Tuesday morning.
According to witnesses, two men armed with pistols knocked on the door of a hotel room where two women were staying at around 1:10 a.m. on June 2. When one of the women opened the door, the men forced their way into the room with guns drawn and began taking cash, cell phone and tablets as they searched the room.
Deputies said the men bound the hands and feet of both victims before they fled the scene. Investigators report the men left the scene driving a grey or tan colored pickup truck.
The incident remains under investigation, but detectives believe the women made arrangements to have the men meet them at the hotel prior to the armed robbery. Further details from detectives concerning the relationship, if any, between the robbers and the victims have yet to be released.
Anyone with information about the incident or the identities of the suspects is urged to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at (225) 389-5000.
