BATON ROUGE - Deputies say a man wearing a bandana and brandishing a knife threatened a woman in a Target parking lot Friday afternoon.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, a woman was at the Target on Siegen Lane when a man wearing a bandana pulled out a knife and demanded a ride from her.

The sheriff's office says the man was demanding a ride to Airline Highway when a witness spotted the incident and drove over to help the victim. The man then ran away from the scene. 

The suspect is a white male wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and a bandana. He was last seen running toward a nearby Motel 6.
