EBRSO: Man forced child to pose sexy in order to earn iPhone
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies accused an East Baton Rouge man of inappropriately touching a young girl and forcing her to pose in a lewd way in order to earn an iPhone.
Deputies arrested 46-year-old Gerald Jerome Ford on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile, as well as a series of traffic and drug violations.
Investigators said the victim told them Ford slept in her bed on June 14 and rubbed her thigh inappropriately. Detectives said she also told them on June 17 Ford had made her change into a pair of short shorts and that she could earn a new iPhone if she made "some adjustments to her body."
The victim told detectives Ford made her put her legs on a couch so they were held open, and that he used a hallway mirror to watch her hold them open. She said any time she tried to close her legs Ford would yell at her to open them back up.
Detectives brought Ford in for questioning and said he denied touching the victim inappropriately. He claimed the girl made up the story because he wouldn't take her to get her hair done.
Investigators got a warrant for Ford's arrest and booked him into the parish jail Tuesday on the indecent behavior charge. He also faces charges of marijuana possession, driving without a license or registration, as well as numerous other traffic violations.
