EBRSO looking for scammer
BATON ROUGE- Detectives with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office are looking for a woman wanted for scamming a Walmart cashier into loading money on debit cards.
It happened on May 8 at the Walmart on N. Mall Drive.
Detectives say the suspect told the cashier was a customer service representative, and conducted nine transactions for $500 each.
She then told the cashier to hit the "cash out" button, which credited the debit card, causing Walmart to lose over $4500.
Anyone with any information on the identity of the suspect, is urged to call the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.
