EBRSO K-9 Team named USPCA Region 10 Champions
BATON ROUGE - The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office K-9 Team was named 2015 United States Police Canine Association Region 10 Champions only six months after the team swept Nationals.
Always a standout among EBRSO's team of dogs, K-9 INDO and Captain James Broussard received the Top Dog award as well as winning first place in the patrol, agility, article search, box search and scent work competitions at the local Regional Trials held last week. The latest win comes after a very successful year in which INDO and Captain Broussard were named 2014 USPCA National Champions after they competed at the 2014 USPCA trials in Wilson, NC.
INDO and Broussard weren't alone in collecting awards at the past week's trials. Cpl. Diana Wales and K-9 DIEZEL took 2nd place in agility and 3rd in criminal apprehension. K-9 MYLO and Sgt. Shannon Graham collected the 1st place narcotics dog award, 1st place indoor search and 2nd place vehicle search. Sgt. Jesse Hale and K-9 JUMMA brought home 3rd place overall.
