BATON ROUGE - People lined up today to give blood in East Baton Rouge Parish in support of deputies killed and wounded in a shooting last week in St. John Parish.

The blood drive began at 10 a.m. on St. Louis Street in Baton Rouge, and will continue until 4 p.m.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and United Blood Services organized the drive. Walk-ins are welcome, but people are encouraged to schedule a donation online at BloodHero.com, and use the sponsor code "EBRSO" to make sure the donation process goes smoothly.
