EBRSO detectives looking for check counterfeiter
BATON ROUGE - Detectives are on the lookout for a man accused of cashing counterfeit checks at an Airline Hwy convenience store in between the dates of April 29 to May 17.
According to deputies, the Baton Rouge convenience store accepted and negotiated a payroll check, for cash, on May 17 and later found the check to be counterfeit.
The description of the accused includes "facial hair and a low haircut." The man was last seen wearing a silver colored wristwatch on his left arm and a navy blue T-shirt with a "Jani-Care" logo on the front left side of the shirt. Detectives said the person is not employed by Jani-Care.
Anyone with information concerning this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office at (225) 389-5000.
