EBRSO deputies investigate cell phone store break-in
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies in East Baton Rouge Parish are looking for three suspects who attempted to burglarize a local cell phone store Sunday morning.
Surveillance cameras show two of the suspects using crowbars to pry open the front door of the store, which is located in the 14000 block of Wax Road. Upon entry, the men went straight to the back of the store where the phones were located. After failing to open the metal cage that stored the merchandise they were after, the would-be robbers left empty-handed.
Deputies described the crime scene getaway vehicle as a silver or tan minivan.
The suspects caught on video were described as dark haired and short by investigators. All three suspects wore long sleeve shirts, baseball caps and blue jeans at the time of the burglary attempt.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at (225)389-5000.
