BATON ROUGE - Members of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office K9 division recently returned from a regional competition with a number of awards.

Deputies and their K-9s competed in the United State Police Canine Association Region 10 field trials in Covington between April 1 and 5.

Capt. James Broussard and K-9 Indo received the Tom Larson award for Top Patrol Dog, the first time someone from EBRSO won that honor. Shannon Graham and K-9 Mylo also took home the Top Narcotics Dog award.

The handlers and their K-9s also took home several other first place awards in the Patrol Dog competition, Narcotics Division, and in outdoor search of vehicles.
