BATON ROUGE- The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board will start the process of searching for a new superintendent Thursday.
The board is set to meet for its monthly Committee of the Whole gathering, but will take up the superintendent topic in a special meeting that will follow.
Current Superintendent John Dilworth announced two weeks ago that he would not renew his contract with the district when it expires next summer. He cited different interests between the board and himself as well as among board members.
Dilworth resigned last April due to board micromanagement, but decided to stay less than a month later.
The school board meets at 5 p.m.
