BATON ROUGE- School Board members in East Baton Rouge Parish were told Thursday night that 30 district employees will not have a job next school year.
The reduction-in-force update detailed the departments where the cuts will come from. Those include school clerks, data specialists and social workers.
Letters to 173 employees in those departments will go out tomorrow, just warning that jobs will be lost from those area. The 30 specific job notices will go out next week.
The district says if any positions in those fields free up before the school year, those let go will be called back.
