EBR School Board incumbents headed to runoff
BATON ROUGE - In East Baton Rouge, two school board incumbents forced to run against one another after the board was cut back will head into a runoff.
Republican "Jerry" Arbour and Democrat Evelyn Ware-Jackson received the most votes Tuesday night, but neither broke the 50 percent barrier needed to avoid a runoff.
Earlier this year the East Baton Rouge School Board decided to reduce its ranks from 11 to 9. The move put the two incumbents fighting for the same District Five race.
