BATON ROUGE - Police arrested 59-year-old Mark Marinoff, a public defender in East Baton Rouge Parish, and charged him with aggravated assault with a firearm this week.
Police say Marinoff got into an altercation with another man around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant at 2313 S. Sherwood Forrest Boulevard.
He was later arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Marinoff posted a $10,000 bond Thursday.
He has been a public defender in Baton Rouge for more than 15 years.
