EBR bridge closed for emergency repairs
BATON ROUGE - Traffic officials closed the George O'Neal Bridge in East Baton Rouge Parish overnight for emergency repairs.
The parish Department of Public Works said the bridge between Kennesaw Drive and Antioch Boulevard, which was built in 1966, will stay closed for an undetermined amount of time.
Drivers in the area can follow the posted detour route from O'Neal Lane to South Harrell's Ferry Road, to Woodlake Drive, and then to Monitor Avenue.
