East Feliciana official receives $16K pay raise
CLINTON - The director of Homeland Security and Office of Emergency Management in East Feliciana Parish is getting a $16,000 salary increase after the police jury approved the raise.
The increase brings Henry Weigand's salary of $30,000 to the state average of $45,860 for parish Homeland Security directors.
The salary increase is from emergency management grants and not the parish's general fund.
The director's salary is less than the salaries of the Homeland Security directors in West Feliciana and St. Helena parishes.
Henry Weigand is certified in emergency exercises planning, training and evaluation, which alleviates the parish from having to hire emergency management trainers.
