East Baton Rouge schools hold flu vaccine clinic
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Magnet High School hosted a flu vaccine clinic for students, teachers and community members.
Our Lady of the Lake Pediatrician Dr. Roberta Vicari says the preventative measures that the community is taking should reduce the amount of flu cases for the upcoming season.
Statistics show that children between 2 and 17 are twice as likely to get the flu as adults are.
Vicari says that school aged children tend to spread the flu because they are around large groups of people and are very social.
