Early voting heavy in New Orleans mayor's race

The Secretary of State's office said early voting the New Orleans mayor's race has been heavier than usual.
On Saturday, the first day of early voting, 1,865 people cast ballots, three more than were cast in New Orleans on the first day of early voting in the 2008 presidential race.
Candidates have encouraged early voting as the Saints prepare to head to Miami for the Super Bowl, which takes place the day after the Feb. 6 election.
