Early voting for Oct. 19 election begins Saturday
BATON ROUGE - Secretary of State Tom Schedler is encouraging all residents eligible to vote in the Oct. 19 municipal and 5th Congressional District primary election to consider voting early starting this Saturday.
Early voting continues through Saturday, Oct. 12, and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, excluding Sunday, Oct. 6.
Ballots will be cast for the Oct. 19 election in 49 parishes.
Citizens who want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters' Office or at other designated locations including the State Archives in Baton Rouge.
