Early voting for April 6 election begins Saturday
BATON ROUGE - Secretary of State Tom Schedler is encouraging all Louisianans eligible to vote in the April 6 primary election to consider voting early.
Early voting begins Saturday at the parish Registrar of Voters' Office and continues through March 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, excluding Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Schedler says the early voting period is the best chance to cast a ballot if a voter anticipates being busy or out of town.
Thirty-eight parishes are holding elections April 6, including Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, St. Helena and West Baton Rouge.
