Early morning fire ruled arson
BATON ROUGE - Investigators said a fire this morning at a vacant house in Baton Rouge was intentionally set.
The fire happened around 4:20 a.m. at a vacant home at 491 Tusacloosa Avenue. Firefighters said the home was fully engulfed when they arrived.
The fire was so intense that authorities said it was in danger of spreading to other nearby buildings. Firefighters kept the flames contained to the original house, and had the fire under control a half-hour later.
The house was a total loss, and investigators are still looking into who started the fire. Anyone with information should call the Baton Rouge Fire Department at (225) 354-1419.
