BATON ROUGE - An electrical fire broke out at an apartment complex early Friday morning.

A call was made at 6 a.m. about a fire at an apartment located at 4643 Sycamore Street. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a fire going through the roof of the four-unit apartment complex.

The fire started in the attic of the building, authorities said. Firefighters were able to control the blaze from spreading.

The building received heavy smoke damage. One person was treated for chest pain. Red Cross was contacted to assist.
