BATON ROUGE- Local authorities are conducting DWI checkpoints this week to curb impaired driving during the holidays.
Baton Rouge Police are holding sobriety checkpoints tonight somewhere within the city limits.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office will set up its sobriety checkpoints sometime beginning Saturday night at 9:00 and ending Sunday morning at 3:00.
A judge will be available to issue a search warrant to draw blood from anyone who refuses to take a breath test.
This is the first of many checkpoints scheduled throughout the holiday season planned around the area.
