DWI charge against Miss. man in boat wreck
AMITE - Louisiana wildlife agents have arrested a Mississippi man on charges accusing him of operating a boat while drunk and severely injuring a 6-year-old girl in a wreck on the Natalbany River near Killian.
Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement spokesman Adam Einck says 40-year-old Anthony Domiono, of Vicksburg, was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Thursday with two counts of negligent injury and with operating a boat while intoxicated. Einck says he also was booked with reckless operation.
Domiono was driving a 22-foot ski boat which hit a tree on the river bank June 9. He had four passengers in the boat and was towing two juveniles in a tube.
Einck says the girl is out of the hospital but was in critical condition for a while.
