The high pressure system that kept local weather conditions tranquil for the beginning and middle of this week is sliding off of the North Carolina coastline. Still, it has enough influence to keep us relatively calm today. The big change is a distinct shift in winds to the south. With that being said we have a warming breeze that is also pumping in some moisture as well. You'll notice a warmer day with highs in the lower 70s and perhaps a touch of humidity. Temperature and dew point readings will continue to trend up through Saturday. Tonight, with the low level moisture in place, as winds push over land, some areas of fog may form while lows stick in the bottom part of the 60s. By Friday Morning, a spotty shower could develop too.
