Drug investigation leads to multiple arrests in Ascension Parish
PRAIRIEVILLE - A month-long drug investigation in Ascension Parish has landed multiple people behind bars.
During a traffic stop on Tuesday, detectives arrested Melana Vu and Patrick Morrison after they found Heroin and other drug paraphernalia in the car.
Detectives then searched a home on Liz Road and found multiple drugs, including Heroin, Marijuana, Xanax and a 12-gauge shotgun inside.
Charles "Ricky" Webb and Kendall Eppes, along with two small children were inside the home at the time. Webb and Eppes were arrested, while the children were released to a family member and Child Services.
During the search, Lawrence Richards pulled into the driveway and was also arrested. Detectives then went to a local restaurant where Crystal Berthelot worked, and placed her under arrest.
All six were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on drug possession charges and are awaiting bond.
