BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge Police Traffic Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal hit and run crash that occurred on Florida Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on Oct. 26 around 4 p.m. in the 10000 block of Florida Boulevard near Sharp Road. 31-year-old Sam Edward Williams was driving a motorcycle when he was struck by a white, lifted, Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck.

Williams was ejected from the motorcycle and transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the pick up truck fled the scene.
