BATON ROUGE - Police said a woman turned herself in today in connection with a deadly hit and run overnight in Baton Rouge.

Officers booked Latisha Gant, 39, into the East Baton Rouge Parish prison on felony hit and run charges this afternoon.

They said Gant hit a 52-year-old homeless man with her SUV while he was crossing Greenwell Street near Quida Mae on foot. The man later died from his injuries.

Investigators said Gant kept going on Greenwell until she reached Airline, then turned north.

Police said they're still trying to locate the victims' family so they can notify them of his death.
