Driver mows down decorations at holiday party
KENNER, La. - There were no reports of serious injuries, but a vehicle was damaged and several holiday decorations were mowed down in the front yard of a Kenner home when a disturbance broke out at a New Year's Eve house party.
Kenner police said it happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday. A man who police said had been attending the party allegedly got into his car and drove onto the lawn while trying to ram another vehicle.
Three people in the vehicle that was struck refused medical treatment.
The Times-Picayune reports that 19-year-old Brandon Steadman of Metairie was arrested and booked with aggravated battery, reckless operation of a vehicle and hit and run.
