Driver killed in single vehicle crash in Lafayette
LAFAYETTE - Lafayette police are investigating a fatal crash that happened at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Ambassador Caffery.
Police say the driver of a pickup was traveling on the westbound I-10 on-ramp early Monday morning when the vehicle left the roadway, ejecting the drive.
Investigators say the driver, 58-year-old Carmen Miller Jr. of Scott, was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation.
