DENHAM SPRINGS - Police identified a man killed today in a wreck on I-12 near Juban Road in Livingston Parish.

Denham Springs Police said Melvin Beecham, 37, of Baton Rouge died at the scene of the wreck, which happened just after midnight.

Investigators said Beecham was driving a car on I-12 East when it was involved in the wreck just before the Juban Road. Police said a large van and a tractor-trailer pulling a box cargo trailer were also involved.

Four people in the van had minor injuries. The wreck closed the interstate for several hours, and all lanes were reopened just after 8 a.m.

Police said no charges have been filed, and the wreck is still under investigation.
