Driver identified in Whiskey Bay fatal crash

WHISKEY BAY - Louisiana State Police have identified the motorcyclist killed Thursday in an accident along Interstate 10 at the Whiskey Bay Bridge.
Troopers say 64-year-old Phillip Rizzo of Lincoln County, OR, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The multi-vehicle accident happened just after 5 p.m. on the westbound side of the interstate.
Investigators say an 18-wheeler swerved in the roadway, striking Rizzo's motorcycle and three other vehicles.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, James Bennett, faces charges of reckless operation and vehicular homicide.
The accident shut down I-10 for more than three hours.
