Driver cited in I-12 mishap
BATON ROUGE- Police said the truck driver blamed for causing a nightmare drive on I-12 Wednesday was from out-of-state.
The driver was cited for careless driving and improper equipment.
Investigators believe the truck had a blowout, causing the driver to lose control. He smashed into the median wall and an attached crane on the back of the truck swung out, knocking out light poles.
The crash and mess closed lanes on both sides of the the interstate.
