BATON ROUGE, La. - Baton Rouge Police Detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred Friday night.

Police responded to the 10200 block of Avenue E around 10 p.m., and found James Collins, 39, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

The Police Department says that it is believed that the injuries were sustained from shots from a passing vehicle.

Collins later died at the hospital.
