Drilling to resume soon in Assumption bayou
BAYOU CORNE - Authorities in Assumption Parish said drilling could resume tonight on an exploration well near a large sinkhole in the parish.
The parish police jury said Texas Brine was ahead of schedule resuming operations, after they had to halt drilling for almost a week during Hurricane Isaac.
In that time more bubbles have appeared in bayous near the sinkhole. Bubbling went on for almost two months before the sinkhole on Texas Brine's land appeared.
News 2's Adrian Pittman will have an update on the continuing investigation into that bubbling tonight.
