Dr. Stephens on 'Brotox' and the gift of surgery
BATON ROUGE - Tis the season to give and cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Anthony Stephens joined us on News 2 at 4 Thursday to talk about what to give and what not to give in terms of plastic surgery. He also touches on popular procedure with men.
Dr. Stephens says the holiday season is a perfect time to give the gift of skincare or plastic surgery. He says this is because many people are off from school or work which allows time for recovery from a procedure. Dr. Stephens advises it is best to ask the gift receiver whether they want a gift of that sort, and gift cards are always a suitable option.
He also says Botox, also known as "Brotox," is a popular procedure amongst men. Dr. Stephen's says he has seen a 300 percent increase in men receiving the procedure since the early 2000s, and says it often due to their drive to look younger in the professional world.
