BATON ROUGE - Sources tell WBRZ the East Baton Rouge Parish Department of Public Works suspended more than a dozen employees due to an email that was deemed inappropriate.
The email is alleged to have had racial overtones circulated via the department's governmental email.
The suspended workers are said to be from the inspection department and includes at least one supervisor.
News 2 has requested comment from DPW, and filed a Freedom of Information Act request seeking the emails, but those requests haven't been answered.
