DPW begins cleaning forgotten firehouse
BATON ROUGE - After a series of reports by News 2 investigators, public works crews in Baton Rouge began cleaning an abandoned firehouse today.
DPW crews started cleaning up a firehouse at Osage and Pocahontas at 7:15 a.m. Friday, removing trash, dumped tires, and dozens of condoms found on the premises.
The firehouse was left abandoned and boarded up after new firehouses were built in the city-parish. News 2 investigators spoke to people in the area who said it was being used as a site for sexual acts and prostitution.
News 2 will have more on the work being done at the forgotten firehouse tonight.
