Dozens arrested in bar raid south of LSU campus
BATON ROUGE - Police and Alcoholic Beverage Control agents arrested more then two dozen people in a compliance check last night at a popular bar near the LSU campus.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said they made the arrests at Shady's Bar on East Boyd. They said undercover officers inside the bar noticed many compliance issues before officers were called in.
McKneely said 12 were arrested for being in the bar without ID, 18 were arrested for being under the age of 21, and one was arrested for being younger than 18. Two others were arrested for disturbing the peace and interfering with a police investigation.
McKneely said Shady's owners and operators could face additional charges related to the investigation.
