Doyle girls hoops gets ready for final four
LIVINGSTON - The Doyle girls basketball team might be young, but they're experienced enough to recognize the golden opportunity in front of them as the team has reached the LHSAA final four for the first time in 17 years.
The Lady Tigers have a record of 26-6 this season, and reached the state semis after a 1 point victory on the road over Lakeview last Thursday.
There is only one senior on the team and just three upperclassmen, but senior Taylin Underwood (who will play at Southeastern next season) has led the team on and off the court, getting them to the Class 2A semifinals.
The Lady Tigers will face Lake Arthur in the final four on Wednesday at 8pm and if they win, they'll be playing for the school's 2nd state championship on Friday at 8pm.
