BATON ROUGE - Authorities announced today that drivers in downtown Baton Rouge will see some road or lane closures as filming of the TV show "Breakout Kings" gets underway.
The A&E series, which is about a group of prisoners working with U. S. Marshals to track down fugitives, relocated recently to Baton Rouge to film their second season.
The EBR Mayor-President's office said there will be a one-lane closure throughout the day on Convention Street between 3rd and Lafayette Street. There will also be intermittent closures on 3rd between Florida and Convention, the section of Florida Street between 3rd and 4th streets, and the 1000 block of N. 3rd Street at State Capital Ave.
People in the area can expect to see stunts, special effects and chase sequences being filmed in the coming months as part of the TV series.
