BATON ROUGE - DOTD announced that US 61 (Scenic Hwy) will be closed at the railroad track from Thursday, Mar. 31 to Friday, Apr. 1.

The Highway will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow for track repairs on the railroad.

DOTD advises the following detours:

Northbound traffic should detour at LA 67 (Plank Rd.) Eastbound to Chippewa St. westbound back to Scenic Hwy.

Southbound traffic should detour to Chippewa St. Eastbound to LA 67(Plank Rd.) Southbound to back to Scenic Hwy.
