BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's (DOTD) headquarters building in Baton Rouge is closed today due to a lack of water service.

Essential services will continue to be provided remotely and necessary meetings will be held at DOTD's LTRC building on LSU campus.

Additionally, DOTD's Traffic Management Center has relocated to Harding Boulevard and its Truck Permits section will remain operational. DOTD's district regional offices remain unaffected by the closure and are maintaining normal business hours.

Water to the DOTD headquarters building, located at 1201 Capitol Access Road in Baton Rouge, was shut off this morning after a vehicle struck a fire hydrant on Sorrel Avenue.

Without water service, DOTD's headquarters building has no air conditioning, fire protection or restroom capabilities.

DOTD headquarters will reopen on Tuesday, June 19.
