UPDATE: Donald Ray George, 42, of Springfield, has been charged with theft. George is accused of stealing a jar of money from Childers Grocery Store in Springfield Tuesday night.

The money was being collected for Amber Carter and her newborn baby, who are survivors of a murder-suicide case in Holden last month.
