Donaldsonville High teacher arrested for steroids
DONALDSONVILLE- A teacher and coach at Donaldsonville High School has been arrested for giving steroids to a student athlete.
Curtis Tsuruda served as a strength and conditioning coach at the school since August of 2013.
Detectives say Tsuruda had given the student athlete steroids after he led the student to believe they were protein pills to help him perform better in sports.
Tsuruda has been placed on administrative leave.
Detectives also went to Tsuruda's home in St. John Parish, where additional steroids were seized.
He is booked into the Ascension Parish Jail, where he is awaiting bond.
