BATON ROUGE - Donald Trump arrived at the airport to tour flood damaged areas shortly before 9:30 Friday morning.

It seemed Trump's visit was attempted to be secret, but his travel plans were revealed first on Twitter and then on WBRZ News 2 at 6:00 Thursday.  Early Friday morning, the Trump campaign confirmed to national news its plans for travel to the Baton Rouge area.

Trump is set to visit the Greenwell Springs area and St. Amant.  Both areas, Greenwell Springs in East Baton Rouge and St. Amant in Ascension Parish, were flooded with water reached half-way up homes or even to roofs in some places.

Trump was greeted on the ground at the airport by a delegation of Louisiana republicans: Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, Attorney General Jeff Landry, Congressman Garret Graves, Congressman Steve Scalise, and Eric Skrmetta, a member of the Louisiana Public Service Commission and co-chair of Trump's campaign in Louisiana.

Trump's Vice Presidential nominee, Mike Pence, also joined the group.

In some neighborhoods, the group was welcomed after a week of seemingly uninterest by national media outlets.

Trump flew his name-sake plane to the airport.
